Global atmospheric research is topic of Teaching International lecture

Faculty News Dr. Tai-Yin Huang

Tai-Yin Huang, Ph.D., associate professor of physics at Penn State Lehigh Valley, will be the featured speaker for the next Teaching International program lecture. Huang will present "Atmospheric Research: A Global Endeavor Involving International Collaborations" at 12:15 p.m. on Dec. 3 in Room 302 at the campus in Center Valley. Allentown Mayor Pawlowski joined the Local Chinese Community Networking Event

Allentown Mayor Ed Pawlowski stopped by the New China Buffet on the S. 4th street Monday evening to attend a social networking event organized by the East Penn Chinese American Chamber of Commerce (EPCACC) and sponsored by the New China Buffet and Andromeda LED Lighting. The event was attended by Chinese American families from around the Lehigh Valley area. The President of the EPCACC, Mr. Bo Yang, welcomed Mayor Pawlowski and introduced him to the audience. The chair of the EPCACC Board, Tai-Yin Huang, acted as a facilitator and translator for Mayor Pawlowski.

“It’s an honor to be here”, said Pawlowski and he went on to talk about the many good things occurred to Allentown since he took office in 2006.

The event came to an end with raffle drawings and photos with Mayor Pawlowski.

EPCACC VIP Dinner – Lehigh Valley Chinese American Elites get-together


Local Chinese American elites in the Lehigh Valley area were invited to attend a VIP dinner party in the Asia Chinese restaurant on Sunday Oct. 13. Thirty-five Chinese leaders and business owners attended the event that was organized by the East Penn Chinese American Chamber of Commerce (EPCACC), a newly established nonprofit organization. The EPCACC strives to be the largest Chinese organization in the area with its missions to advance and promote the economic growth for business, to become a voice for the Chinese American community, to provide a platform for international business collaborations, and to facilitate greater integration of the Chinese community into the American society.
