Patent Granted
Professor of physics Tai-Yin Huang, Ph. D. has been granted a patent from the United States Patent and Trademark Office. The invention, "Energy Storage Device", is configured for a vehicle or a building. It can collect, store, and use the electrical energy released from lightning to provide power to a moving vehicle or for use in a building. Penn State Launchbox provided funding for the patent's issue fee. Details on the patent.
